斯慕奇之死

　　巴西世界盃总决赛当日，下午五点，中国少年民工缩衣节食，满心期待下班后与应召姐姐共度良宵，殊不知她早已买好了离城的车票。晚间九点，新加坡男教师与轻熟女想来场隐密的山顶幽会却被不解风情的计程车司机不断打扰。午夜一点，在日俄交界的偏远小镇，神祕放映师面对流氓渔民的暴力讨债，必须抢救打火机下的心爱胶卷。清晨三点，精心拍摄的科幻恐怖片眼看就要杀青，因为怀疑身为自己妻子的女主角与男主角有染，泰国导演竟开始分不清虚构与现实。
　　来自四个不同国家，关注题材和叙事手法也各异其趣的四位导演，以黑色电影风格演绎各自独到的亚洲印象。一个夜晚，四则故事，在社会环境与文化地景的同与异中，拼凑东亚独立电影的当代图景。

　　在相当短的一段时间内，接二连三的死者出现，这些看似意外死亡且彼此没有任何联系的人们，肛门处全都藏着预示了凶相的神签。案情扑朔迷离，万般无奈之下，芳贺长官（白井晃 饰）命令负责此案的刑警西园寺守（石井正则 饰）请业已离职的古畑任三郎（田村正和 饰）出山。以此为契机，古畑、今泉（西村雅彦 饰）、向岛（小林隆 饰）这一经典组合重新聚首。当西园寺和今泉还在胡乱猜测此案的共通点时，古畑却已敏锐地将目光锁定在负责验尸黑岩健吾博士（绪形拳 饰）的身上。沉稳阴郁、老练圆滑的黑岩博士此番引火烧身的背后目的究竟为何？

　　Police officer Jane Rydert's life goes into a tailspin the day her older sister, Cassidy, shows up at her door after sixteen years of confinement in a psychiatric hospital.

　　两名侦探观察了一名逃犯的前女友，但当其中一人爱上她时，情况就变得复杂起来。

　　何永潮（艾迪 饰）虽然出生在黑社会地区，却在长大之后报考了警校最终以出色的成绩毕业成为了一名警察。然而，何永潮上岗之后的第一个任务，竟然就是被派往黑社会做卧底。何永潮凭借着过人的智慧和勇气隐藏身份，同敌人周旋，向上司提供了许多重要的情报，深受上司的信赖，可是并不理解这一切的女友阿芳却含恨离开了何永潮。
　　何永潮真心热爱着这份打击罪恶的职业，甘愿为其牺牲一切，然而，当看见自己的前辈亚泰（金兴贤 饰）在任务中不幸丧生之后，何永潮的观念发生了转变，他想要回归正常安全的生活之中。上司答应何永潮，只要完成最后一个任务就将他调回警队。

　　乡村少年硕伊见到了从首尔转学来的少女妍伊。虽然对美丽的妍伊心生好感，但硕伊小心掩饰着自己的真情，而是故意表现得满不在乎，甚至像一个行为不端的坏孩子。有一段时间硕伊突然见不到妍伊，感到十分不安和失落。他暗中跟随妍伊，见到几个调皮的孩子戏弄妍伊，忙上去帮她解围。硕伊和妍伊的关系亲密许多。两个人越走越近，足迹遍布乡村和山野，一起度过了不少欢快的时光。一天，孩子们遭遇一场滂沱大雨，到瓜棚下避雨。没想到，妍伊因为这次淋浴得了重病，后来竟离开了人世。硕伊痛不欲生，按照妍伊的遗言，为她穿上了红衣服……

　　Bullied by his matriarchal mother, abused by his siblings, ignored by his father, Poil de Carotte's childhood is as miserable as it could be.  An illegitimate child, he is the main reason for the enmity which exists between his parents, who continue to live together just to keep up appearances. In the end, Poil de Carotte's suffering becomes more than he can bear...
　　Review
　　Drawing heavily on the poignant novel by Jules Renard on which it is based, Poil de carotte is a modest yet appealing film which has stood the test of time mainly because of the quality of its acting performances and its inherent humanity. It is more memorable than Julien Duvivier's earlier silent version of 1925, also named Poil de Carotte.
　　The part of Poil de Carotte was played by 11 year old Robert Lynen, who was alleged to have been discovered whilst walking down the Champs-Elysées in Paris. Lynen is totally captivating and the film made him an instant star, launching what looked like becoming a very promising film career – until he was shot dead whilst fighting against the Germans in 1944.  Harry Baur, a legendary stage and film actor (who also died during World War II, allegedly at the hands of the Gestapo), also turns in a typically fine performance.  The reconciliation between father and son at the end of the film provides its most enduring image, enough to melt the heart of all but the most stoical of spectators.

In revisiting the short history of the bad luck bears who racked up all the wrong kinds of records (see that 23-game losing streak in the 1995-1996 season), Jayme’s documentary doubles as a testament to the enduring passion of true teal blue fans. It’s this passion that fuels a dogged odyssey that finds Jayme infiltrating corridors of power at the NBA’s head offices and knocking on doors as she connects the dots and reconnects with the heroes and villains of Grizzlies lore, including former players like Shareef Abdur-Rahim and Mike Bibby, and the team’s architect, Stu Jackson.
The level of access is astonishing—there are “gets” that we don’t dare reveal—and so too is the candour of the interviewees. What emerges is a rousing story about the irrational fervour of fandom and sport’s unique ability to create identity, strengthen family ties, and forge community.
